needing prayer for Allie Kate

Monday we got some bad news about Allie Kate... Allie Kate had to go back to be retested for her hearing. In the hospital she failed two test. This would be her 3rd hearing test. So Monday we went to get it rechecked. She failed it. They seem to think she could have severe hearing loss. With this disease she has its rare but some babies can be deaf. I can't even put it into words how we feel... It breaks are hearts. So Im asking all of yall to please pray that this will change. She goes back in a month to be retested so we are hoping and praying for good news. We know that prayer changes things.

Allie Kate 7 weeks old!

Well Miss Allie Kate is 7 weeks old today! She is doing great! As some of you know when she was born she was diagnosed with Hirschsprung disease. As a mom I fell apart you just don't plan on something being wrong with your baby. When she was a week old they had to do surgery on her and take out about 5 inches of her intestines. We were crushed when they said the word surgery... You don't ever want to hear your little tiny newborn is going to have to go through a major surgery. But we are very blessed with wonderful friends and family that came to are rescue! there support and prayers is what has carried us through this. As for now Allie Kate is doing so good the problem should be corrected and she should be fine. Of course there is always a chance of future surgery's. But the lord knows all about her and we are trusting in him that she will do ok and not need anymore! We are so thankful for all of your prayers! We are truly blessed! Thanks again!

Lemonade for sale!

Madison and some of her cousins had a lemonade /cookie sale for a yard sale that my family the Guffey's had last weekend! The girls made alot of MONEY! lol maybe I need to make me a lemonade stand to support my diaper fund!! Anyways they had a blast my parents rented a inflatable slip and slide for them to play on that day... It was funny seeing some adults try it out! Allie Kate got to meet alot of her family that day that had not got to see her yet... so safe to say I did not get to hold her much! It was a fun day of grilling and homemade ice cream! and of course lemonade. Nice to be back to normal we enjoyed it.
